Never looking back

Never Looking Back

Transcript:

After ten years in an abusive relationship, I grabbed my five kids, filled my car with food and ran as fast as I could. I tried to stay with my brother, but my large family quickly became a burden on him. I got an apartment, but the bills were too expensive and soon enough, I and my five kids ended up being homeless. I can understand why women go back to abusive relationships — people don’t want to deal with your problems and it’s hard raising kids all by yourself. I wish, we could get a house, get a car, and live happily together. — Monica, Los Angeles.
