No Favors

I became homeless because I didn’t want to live with people asking too much of me. I wanted to be on my own, and I’d rather stay out on the streets than to give sexual favors to sleep inside someone’s apartment — that is the way it is for women out here. You have to do too much to get help. You have to have income before you can get assistance. Since I did not have any income or a job, I had no option, but to live on the streets. If I had three wishes, it will be to bring my son back, get everybody what they need, and create more jobs. — Stacy, Pittsburgh.
